Locum Dentist / Poole, Dorset / Part Time

MBR Dental are currently assisting a dental practice located in Poole (BH15), Dorset to recruit a Locum Dentist to join their team on a temporary basis.

Vacancy Details:

  • Available as soon as possible.
  • Ongoing till perm Dentist recruited.
  • Position available on a Locum to Perm basis.
  • Part-time opportunity, 2+ days per week.
  • Surgery space Monday and Wednesday 2pm-8pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8am-8pm, plus Saturdays 9am-2pm.
  • Practice can be flexible on days and working hours to suit.
  • Temporary locum role with a 1–2-week notice period.

Remuneration & Benefits:

  • Practice can offer £450-£500 per day – dependent on experience.
  • Locum Dentist will be paid monthly.
  • Private income paid at 50% split in addition to day rate.
  • 50/50 split on lab bills for NHS & Private.
  • Predominantly NHS list with the opportunity to upsell Private to NHS patients.

Practice Overview:

  • 11 surgery dental practice.
  • Computerised with R4 software.
  • Onsite CBCT Scanner and Intraoral Scanner.
  • Digital X-Rays and Rotary Endo available.
  • Practice offers Short Term Orthodontics, Endodontics and Cosmetic Dentistry.

Location & Travel:

  • Free parking.
  • Easily commutable from Poole town centre, Poole Quay, Poole Hospital, Parkstone, Ashley Cross, Bournemouth, Sandbanks, and Christchurch (typically under 30 mins).
  • 1.5-hour commute from major cities such as Dorchester, Southampton, Salisbury and Weymouth.
  • Situated within a 10-minute walk from the train station.
  • Direct trains from Bournemouth, Branksome, Parkstone, Brockenhurst, Southampton Central, Dorchester South, & Weymouth.
  • 20–30-minute drive from Bournemouth airport.

Requirements: 

  • GDC Registered Dentist
  • Active Performer Number
  • Enhanced DBS Certificate
